At least 69 were killed after a local passenger plane with 72 people on board crashed in the Pokhara region in central Nepal on January 15, the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal announced. According to a reporter with China Media Group on site, the plane could have tried to have an emergency landing before sliding into a river gorge.
