The high-speed railway connecting the Chinese mainland and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region resumed operation on January 15 after nearly three years of service suspension. At 07:03 local time, a high-speed train left the Hong Kong West Kowloon Station for Shenzhen in Guangdong Province, the first of such trains since the pandemic disrupted the cross-border bullet train services.
