China has taken a variety of measures to protect key groups amid the current wave of COVID-19 infections, said a health official at a press conference in Beijing on Saturday.

The key groups need protection, said Wen Daxiang, director of the Shanghai Municipal Health Commission, noting that the State Council joint COVID-19 prevention and control mechanism team has made relevant arrangements.
