At least 20 people were killed in a recent cold snap across Afghanistan, TOLO News reported on Monday.

A sudden fall in temperature across the country has taken a toll on people who are already hit hardest by poverty and lack of food and firewood to warm their homes, the report said.

The cold wave has also killed at least 4,000 cattle in Badghis and other provinces.
