Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Chairman-in-Office and North Macedonian Foreign Minister Bujar Osmani arrived in Kyiv and held talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Monday.
Osmani expressed support to Ukraine, saying that "as OSCE Chairpersonship we will continue to offer OSCE assistance and support" within capacity, according to a statement from the organization.
This is the first official visit by Osmani as OSCE Chairman-in-Office since North Macedonia began its chairpersonship on January 1, 2023.
He also met with Speaker of Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Ruslan Stefanchuk and Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba during the visit.
According to Zelenskyy's office, the Ukrainian president told Osmani the involvement of the OSCE and North Macedonia in the implementation of the peace formula is needed.
Zelenskyy has demanded the punishment of Russia for its "illegal war" against Ukraine for a long time, part of the "peace formula" that also calls for greater civilian protection and defense support.
