Live: Villagers in northeast China stock up on New Year's goods at big fairs

In the rural areas of northeastern China, people go to open-air markets to buy food, daily necessities or just to have fun. This way of shopping is called "ganji." Typically, this type of fair is held once a week at a fixed location, where vendors agree to gather on a certain day of the week to sell their goods. Because there are not as many large supermarkets as in cities, people in rural areas usually have to buy enough ingredients for a week during "ganji." With the Chinese New Year approaching, the market is busier than usual as people flock to the market to buy New Year's goods. CGTN reporter Yu Li joins them for the annual shopping event.
