U.S. President Joe Biden and Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte held wide-ranging talks on Tuesday in Washington D.C. that included a discussion on Dutch plans to offer the Patriot missile defense system to Ukraine.
Rutte told Biden that the Netherlands is working together with Germany on an initiative to help Ukraine defend itself.
Rutte said he had earlier spoken by telephone with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy to discuss the decision.
