Dr. William Haseltine, Chair & President of Access Health International, believes pan-coronavirus vaccines may not be realized, at least with the foreseeable technology we have. He adds that the intrinsic nature of this virus is to re-infect an adult immunocompetent person who has been recently infected, and that's what this virus evolved to do for many tens of millions of years. We need to fight COVID-19 with both vaccines and drugs, and have under-invested in anti-viral drugs at the moment.
