Despite being somewhat unspectacular, hotpot is nevertheless an important dish during the Chinese New Year. On the twenty-ninth day of the twelfth lunar month, Yin Weifeng steps out onto a frozen lake in Zhenlai County, northeast China's Jilin Province. He's a man with a mission to get fresh crab for the family's New Year hotpot.
