A single-engine Beechcraft plane flying from John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City to Ohio crashed on Thursday night, killing two people aboard, CBS News reported.

The plane was about 1.6 kilometers away from Westchester County Airport when the pilot reported engine problems, telling the tower he was low on oil pressure.

Shortly afterwards, the tower lost radio contact with the plane, the report said.
