China's civil aviation industry is being buoyed by the Spring Festival travel rush that peaked on January 20, the day before Chinese New Year's Eve. Passenger volumes at Beijing Capital International Airport, one of China's busiest, have been rising daily since the approximately 100,000 passenger trips on the first day of the surge. The week-long Spring Festival holiday, which starts on January 21, is China's grandest occasion for family reunions.
