In northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, online medical services are providing consultation, medication guidance and psychological counseling for more patients who stay at home. Prescriptions can be made online and drugs are delivered offline, and that has eased the pressure on medical resources, and avoided crowds in hospitals to reduce the risk of cross-infections. Since the opening of the Internet Hospital, 13 hospitals in Urumqi have joined the online platform, with nearly 900 medical workers providing services through the internet, and about 100,000 clinical receptions have been made online.
