New Zealand's governing Labour Party endorsed Chris Hipkins as its new leader on Sunday, following the resignation of Jacinda Ardern, and the 44-year-old is set to become the country's 41st prime minister.
Carmel Sepuloni was backed as the country's deputy prime minister at the caucus meeting on Sunday.
