On January 18, Chinese President Xi Jinping sent festive greetings to wholesale market vendors at the Xinfadi wholesale market, a major fresh farm-produce marketplace in Beijing, via video link. There're over 4,500 vendors in the Xinfadi market, nearly half of whom have stayed to guarantee the supply for Beijing residents. President Xi's greetings and encouragement heartened them. Li Zhongyue, a corn vendor who joined the video call, said: "President Xi's concern makes us more confident about the future."
