Warm responses to Xi's concern: President Xi's concern makes us feel warm
Shiyi Village, Beichuan Qiang Autonomous County, southwest China, is a reconstruction village after the magnitude-8.0 earthquake hit nearby Wenchuan County in 2008. With the beautiful natural scenery and unique ethnic customs, agricultural products and farmhouse tourism in Shiyi Village are becoming increasingly popular.
On January 18, Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, sent festive greetings to Shiyi villagers and tourists. "After the optimization of COVID-19 restrictions, I am most worried about rural areas and farmers. The medical conditions in rural areas are relatively weak, making prevention and control difficult," President Xi emphasized.
Huang Yan, a tour operator in Shiyi Village who participated in the video call, said President Xi's concern warmed her heart, as well as the hearts of fellow villagers.
