A magnitude-4.2 earthquake struck 16 kilometers south of Malibu, California, the U.S. on Wednesday at a depth of 14.8 kilometers, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).
The quake was followed by a magnitude-3.5 aftershock and progressively weaker aftershocks, according to the USGS.
There were no reports of damage or injuries, local media said.
