Railways, highways, civil aviation, and water transport hubs all over China saw peak passenger flows. As one of the major roads of the Yangtze River Delta connecting Zhejiang to Shanghai, the Shanghai-Hangzhou Expressway took on the heavy task of transportation, while Zhejiang highway maintenance workers did their best to ensure the safety of the highways during the holiday. The Qiongzhou Strait in Hainan Province also saw a travel peak. There were 386,900 vehicles in and out of the island, reaching the highest peak in a five-year history.
