The Nasdaq, a major stock exchange in the world, celebrated the Chinese New Year by holding an in-person opening bell ceremony in partnership with the Chinese Consulate General in New York on January 25. As part of a multi-year tradition, Chinese Consul General in New York Huang Ping rang the opening bell at the Nasdaq MarketSite in Times Square. It's the first time in two years that an in-person bell ringing has taken place on Chinese New Year due to the pandemic.
