U.S. GDP grows at annual rate of 2.9% in Q4

The U.S. gross domestic product (GDP) rose at a 2.9-percent annualized pace in the fourth quarter of 2022, according to official data released by the Commerce Department on Thursday.
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had earlier expected a reading of 2.8 percent in Q4.
The U.S. GDP grew 2.1 percent in 2022, the data showed.
