Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions have seen a rebound in inbound tourists during the Spring Festival holiday. According to the local media, Hong Kong received over 400,000 visitors from January 21 to January 25. Experts are expecting the number to pick up after the Spring Festival holiday, as people from the Chinese mainland have likely already made plans to visit family in their hometowns. Neighboring Macao is also seeing a resurgence of tourists, with over 318,000 visitor arrivals in the first five days of the Spring Festival holiday and a 300 percent rise from last year.
