Travel flows across China rose sharply as the week-long Spring Festival holiday neared its conclusion. The country's rail network peaked at 12.1 million daily passenger trips on 10,700 trains. Beijing Capital International Airport handled 118,000 passenger trips on 907 flights, while Daxing International Airport served 112,500 trips on 789 flights. In Shanghai, vehicle traffic spiked on January 26. Land ports in Shenzhen in south China's Guangdong Province have also witnessed a return travel surge. Futian Port linking Shenzhen and Hong Kong reached an estimated daily average of 42,000 passenger trips.
