Major construction sites across China are vying with one another in resuming construction work after the official holiday season of the Spring Festival from January 21 to 27. On the first work day after the holiday, hundreds of workers are busy at a transportation hub in Tongzhou District in eastern Beijing, the capital city's sub-center. Northeast China's Dalian City saw 23 new projects kicking off on the first work day after the holiday, with a total investment of 84 billion yuan (about $12 billion). More than 3,000 workers were busy at the Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway construction site. The railway construction project is slated for completion by the end of 2023.
