At least 44 people were killed and more than 150 others wounded after a powerful blast hit a mosque in Pakistan's northwest Peshawar city on Monday, according to local media reports.
Prime Minister Shebaz Sharif called the blast a "suicide attack." There were at least 260 people in the mosque, police official Sikandar Khan added.
The militant group Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the attack, local Geo TV reported.
