A recent footage shows a cute panda cub playing around its mother as she naps under the warm sun at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The panda cub nudges its mother, seemingly in an attempt to wake her up for company. But after failing to do so, it decides to find some joy on its own. As they rest by a pond, the cub dips its furry paws into the water and starts splashing for fun.
The Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding is an institution for the ex-situ conservation of giant pandas, scientific research and breeding and public education. The base is famous for its work in protecting and breeding giant pandas, red pandas, and other endangered wild animals endemic to China.
