Economist: Domestic consumption demand to drive China's economic rebound in 2023

Consumption in China recovered significantly during the Spring Festival holiday and the sales revenue of consumption-related sectors increased by 12.2 percent year on year, ushering in a positive start to 2023. As a result, consumption will be the main driver of China's economic recovery this year, according to Helen Qiao, chief Greater China economist and head of Asia Economics Research at BofA Securities, in an exclusive interview with CGTN.
