Major arrests have been made in connection with the mosque bombing that killed over 100 people in Pakistan on Monday, Reuters reported, citing the Peshawar police chief.

Chief Ijaz Khan told Reuters that officers are investigating how the suicide bomber gained access to such a highly-secured police area, and could not rule out the possibility of inside help in carrying out the attack.

According to local media, the death toll has hit 101 as of Wednesday as rescue and relief operation is still underway.
