Stretching over the Ganjiang River, the Bayi Bridge is one of the major bridges in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province. In 1995, the Jiangxi Provincial Government built it to replace the old one. The bridge was built to commemorate the "August 1 Nanchang Uprising" in 1927 and opened to traffic in 1997. The Bayi Bridge is about six kilometers long, with four lanes in two directions. It is the first cable-stayed bridge in Jiangxi Province, the longest cable-stayed bridge in Nanchang, and a landmark structure in Nanchang City.
