China's first cross-sea high-speed railway, the Fuzhou-Xiamen-Zhangzhou High-speed Railway in Fujian Province, performed static acceptance tests on Friday, according to China Media Group.
It will begin joint testing by April and get ready to open for traffic within this year.
The National Railway Administration is in charge of running the acceptance tests to make sure the project meets all the requirements.
Construction of the project commenced in September, 2017, and the line extends for 277.42 kilometers along major port cities, such as Putian and Quanzhou, and Xiamen, of southeast China's Fujian Province.
With three cross-sea bridges over the Meizhou Bay, Quanzhou Bay and Anhai Bay, the railway connects Fujian's capital city Fuzhou to the historical city Zhangzhou.
It takes less than an hour for a trip between Fuzhou and Xiamen at the maximum designed speed of 350 km/h.
