Wildfires broke out in the Nuble region of central Chile as a summer heatwave is sweeping across southern and central parts of the country. The blaze has burned more than 750 hectares of forest. The authority has issued a red alert, the highest level of warning, in many regions. Evacuation was also ordered in rural areas of the Nuble region due to the risk of fire.
