China's first cross-sea high-speed railway, the Fuzhou-Xiamen-Zhangzhou High-speed Railway, performed static acceptance tests in southeast China's Fujian Province on February 3. With three cross-sea bridges, the 277-kilometer railway links Fujian's capital city Fuzhou with the historical city of Zhangzhou. It is expected to slash the travel time between the two cities to just one hour with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.
