The beginning of spring is an important part of Chinese culture, as it is believed that the end of extreme cold brings new life. To mark the one-year anniversary of the 2022 Winter Olympics on February 4, Beijing and neighboring Hebei Province have launched a series of special activities. Under the theme of "Extraordinary Winter Olympics, Together for a Shared Future," the activities will take place in February and March in Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou, the three Olympic competition zones. Major events will include the "Brilliant Winter Olympics" public exhibition, an ice and snow sports carnival, mass sporting activities, and an Olympic culture bazaar. Various winter sports activities are being organized for people of all ages.
