Affected by active periodic cold air, the frozen section of the Yellow River in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has stretched for 182 kilometers during this ice jam season, the longest since 2016, according to the latest statistics from the Ningxia Water Conservancy Department. The average temperature of the Ningxia section of the Yellow River has been below minus five degrees Celsius for five consecutive days. The Ningxia section has been frozen for a second time this winter due to the low temperature, which is fairly rare in recent years.
