On February 6, a magnitude-7.7 earthquake struck Türkiye's southern province of Kahramanmaras at 4:17 a.m. local time (0117 GMT), followed by a second major quake with a magnitude-7.6 in the same area again at 1:24 p.m. local time (1024 GMT).
On February 10, Türkiye announced the end of rescue efforts in all provinces except the two provinces which were the hardest hit ones: Kahramanmaras and Hatay.
The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority said on Sunday that the number of aftershocks in Türkiye has reached 6,040 since February 6.
In Syria, rescue work continues and a convoy of 14 International medical charity Doctors Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres/MSF) trucks entered northwestern Syria on Sunday.
