A magnitude-7.6 earthquake jolted Elbistan district in south Türkiye's Kahramanmaras province on Monday afternoon, according to the country's disaster agency.
There is currently no tsunami threat that will affect our coasts in the Eastern Mediterranean, the agency said.
An earthquake that hit earlier in the morning killed over 1,000 people in Türkiye and neighboring Syria.
Tremors were also felt in Syria, including capital Damascus, state media reported.
