The death toll has risen to at least 2,921 after destructive earthquakes hit Kahramanmaras Province in Türkiye. Two earthquakes, magnitude 7.7 and magnitude 7.6, respectively, jolted Kahramanmaras, leaving nearly 15,000 others injured and collapsing over 3,470 buildings. Many buildings in Adana sustained serious damage, especially high-rises. Residents in dangerous buildings have been evacuated. Over 100 aftershocks have been reported, making it more difficult for the rescue work.
