Heavy rains set off mudslides killing 36 in Peru

A landslide triggered by heavy rain killed at least 36 people in southern Peru. Officials said some 2,000 families had been affected, and 630 homes had been destroyed as they sent in heavy machinery to clear debris blocking important roads.
