Pipa player Samuel Wong and Ji Wei co-founded the TENG Company, a non-profit arts group. Seven years ago, they went in search of Mr. Yeo How Jiang, who founded the first Chinese Orchestra in Singapore in the 1950s. As a result, they discovered a group of musicians hidden away among Singapore's dialect organizations. This sparked the Forefathers Project, which aims to shed light on the music of Singapore's early Chinese migrants. Miro Lu of CGTN met with some of the people that were helpful in the initiative!
