The death toll from powerful earthquakes that hit southern Türkiye on Monday has risen to 2,379, Turkish Vice President Fuat Oktay said, adding that 14,483 others were injured.
Oktay said 7,840 people have been rescued from rubbles so far as 11,022 search and rescue teams work in the field.
Meanwhile, the Syrian Arab News Agency reported late on Monday that the death toll in Syria following the earthquakes rose to 711, with 1,431 people injured.
