Expert: Turkish rescue teams overwhelmed in harsh conditions

The death toll from the devastating earthquakes in southern Türkiye and Syria has risen to over 8,300 people as rescuers race against time to pull out survivors in harsh winter conditions. While some have voiced anger and despair at what they said was a slow and inadequate response. Dr. Ali Oguz Dirioz, an Assistant Professor at the Department of International Entrepreneurship at TOBB University of Economics and Technology, says Turkish rescue teams are overwhelmed in harsh conditions.
