Germany's new Minister of Defense Boris Pistorius arrived in Ukraine and met with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Tuesday for his first visit since assuming office on January 19.
The surprise visit came as Germany, Denmark and Netherlands announced to provide at least 100 Leopard 1 tanks for Kyiv in a show of support amid the ongoing Russia-Ukraine conflict.
Pistorius, on the visit to Kyiv, said 20 to 25 tanks would arrive by summer, about 80 by the end of the year and another 100 in 2024.
