The death toll from the powerful earthquakes that hit southern Türkiye on February 6 has risen to 7,108. The quakes were felt especially hard in Gaziantep, Sivas, Hatay, Sanlıurfa, Mersin, Samsun and Trabzon provinces. More than 11,000 buildings across 10 provinces have collapsed. The Turkish Disaster and Emergency Management Authority has declared a Level-4 alarm. There are 285 aftershocks, the largest of which was magnitude 6.6.
