China reiterated that the hot air balloon shot down in the U.S. was a civilian airship that strayed into the American airspace after the White House claimed the balloon was part of a "fleet" spanning five continents. The Chinese Foreign Ministry on Thursday also responded to Japan's decision to analyze unidentified aerial objects spotted over the country in past years.
