3-month state of emergency begins in Türkiye's quake-hit zones

A three-month state of emergency in 10 quake-hit provinces of Türkiye began on Thursday after approval from the country's Grand National Assembly.
Earthquakes in southern Türkiye, which can be described as a "disaster of century," have caused great destruction in the 10 provinces, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday.
Erdogan said that all kinds of teams and equipment needed had been directed to quake-hit region from across the country.
