The world has been quick in lending a helping hand to pull Türkiye and Syria out of the ruins. China will give emergency humanitarian aid of 30 million yuan ($4.4 million) to hard-hit Syria. Imad Moustapha, the dean of the Diplomatic Institute at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates in Syria, also former Syrian ambassador to China, tells CGTN host Tian Wei that a friend in need is a friend indeed. He added that China has always stood with struggling friendly nations in their moment of difficulty.
