The world's largest yellow waterfall, Hukou at the intersection of northern Shanxi and Shaanxi provinces, has melted, releasing a surge of water down the Yellow River. As temperatures rise in early spring, the waterfall has been the first to melt and the riverbanks remain covered with thick ice and snow. A three-meter waterfall now flows over the cliff. For safety reasons, tourists will not be allowed to go to the scenic spot until all ice melt.
