Two Russian missiles crossed into Moldovan and Romanian airspace on Friday before entering Ukraine, the Commander of Ukraine's armed forces, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, said.

Moldovan Foreign Ministry then summoned the Russian ambassador in connection with the violation of the country's airspace, local media reported.

Romania later denied that Russian missiles flew over the country. It detected an "aerial target launched from the Black Sea from a ship of the Russian Federation" but "at no point did it intersect with Romania's airspace," its ministry of defence said.
