The death toll from the massive earthquakes in Türkiye and Syria rose above 25,000 on Saturday, official data showed, with rescue workers still searching for trapped survivors.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said 21,848 people have died in Türkiye while Syrian officials and medics said the death toll has risen to more than 3,553 in Syria, bringing the total to more than 25,401.
