Disaster relief efforts continue as the death toll from earthquakes on February 6 in Türkiye and Syria passed 23,000. Over 65 countries have offered assistance and supplies to the two countries. Xu Shiling, a Lecturer of Humanitarian Policy at International Academy of Red Cross & Red Crescent at Soochow University, says the situation in Türkiye is cautiously optimistic, but in Syria is more concerning.
