Türkiye's tourist city Antakya suffered widespread damages in Monday’s devastating earthquakes as many ancient buildings collapsed and the major downtown district ruined.
Antakya, known as Antioch in ancient times as a hub of civilization, commerce and religion for Christians in particular, is a city in Hatay Province, one of the country's worst-hit regions by the earthquakes.
