Since early February, severe wildfires have swept many regions in south-central Chile. Firefighters from over 10 countries, including Mexico, Argentina, Brazil and Venezuela, are assisting in the fight against the raging wildfires. According to the Chilean government, the wildfire had killed at least 24 people and injured 2,196, with 1,250 houses ruined as of February 10. The authorities estimated that the disaster would probably last until the first half of March.
